Eligibility Criteria

International Students:

(1) Year 11 or equivalent (2) IELTS 5.5 or equivalent (3) Must be 18 years or older at commencement of the course

Domestic Students:

(1) Demonstrated English language literacy, numeracy ability to succeed in the course required, which will be ascertain by an interview or written test if required. (2) Under 18 years of age are also eligible subject to interview and written test if required.

For Domestic students; face-to-face classroom based and/or workplace training.
This qualification provides students with the skills and knowledge used in the automotive mechanical technology sector. Students learn to inspect, service and repair light vehicles, apply safe working practices, carry out work observing environmental regulations and carry out diagnostic procedures. Students will work towards becoming Motor Mechanics and will learn how to diagnose, service and repair faults in light vehicle engines, fuel systems, manual and automatic transmissions, suspension, steering, drivelines, final drives, brakes and electrical systems and components..
