2. This is recognition by the Chinese Government of VIT and its high standard of programs.

2015 Christmas Party held at our very own VIT Cafe in Abbotsford

On the 11th December 2015 a number of staff and students gathered at 413 Johnston Street, Abbotsford (address of VIT Cafe) to celebrate our Student Christmas and End of Year Party.

VIT Cafe, owned and operated by the Victorian Institute of Technology, is a working kitchen where our hospitality students have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in a real business environment.

The party was a great success as can be clearly seen by the many smiling faces in the photos below.

Catering for the event was supplied by our wonderful hospitality students!

6 June 2011, Hon Peter Hall – ACPET/VIT

ACPET’s Victorian State Committee were delighted to meet with the Minister for Higher Education and Skills and the Teaching Profession, the Honourable Peter Hall, on Monday 6 June 2011 as part of their committee meeting and afterwards at an ACPET hosted members function. 28 Feburary 2010, IPEAL Launch

The organation IPEAL was launched by Tony Lupton MP, Cabinet Secretary and Ted Baillieu MP, Leader of the Opposition. Victorian Institute of Technology was one of principle supporters in the establishment of IPEAL.

17 November 2009, Sponsor of Climate Alliance Launch

Climate Alliance Limited was formally launched in November, 2009. On the 17th November, Mr Ivan Deveson AO was the keynote speaker in Melbourne. On the 18th November, General Peter Cosgrove AC MC (Retd) was the keynote speaker at the launch in Sydney. Both events included a video message from Mr Andrew Liveris, Chairman and CEO of The Dow Chemical Company. VIT was one of the principal sponsors of the launch.
